A community that's already been rocked by a shooting rampage earlier this year is sharing their sympathies with the victims of the Newtown, Connecticut shooting. They're still dealing with the aftermath of this summer’s mass shooting at a Sikh Temple in Wisconsin. Our Erin Vannella reports from a vigil being put on by the Sikh Association of Capital District.

EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. -- A vigil was organized by the Sikh Association of Capital District. They're still dealing with the aftermath of this summer’s mass shooting at a Sikh Temple in Wisconsin.

People who were at the vigil wanted to send a message to the families of the victims on Sandy Hook Elementary, to tell them they're not alone as they cope with the loss of so many.

"I work at an elementary school, I just picture them, and I can't believe it,” said Balbir Chahal, Sikh community member.

"I wish for them peace, for the kids parents, and god give them strength. It's really, really sad. For any parent to go through this thing," said Neelam Narang, Sikh community member.

Sikhs in Wisconsin urged the faithful in places of worship around the world to hold candlelight vigils and to offer prayers for the Connecticut families this weekend.
