SCHENECTADY COUNTY, N.Y. -- Train cars and parts are on the auction block this coming week in Schenectady County.
The parts were supposed to be used to improve service between Albany and New York City, but that project never left the station.
The state Office of General Services has already pocketed $65,000 by selling equipment on eBay.
The parts will be auctioned off in Rotterdam on Tuesday and rail cars will be sold on Thursday in Scotia. The bidding starts at 9:30 a.m. both days.
The train items will all be listed on eBay until the day of the auctions.
