SUFFERN, N.Y. -- A special meeting of the New York State Thruway Authority scheduled to be held today in Suffern has been postponed. The meeting was expected to address a toll increase for truckers.
The issue has been a controversial one, with Albany-area Republican state Assemblyman James Tedisco saying the authority clearly does not want the public to see it enact the hike,
which truckers say would increase costs for all New Yorkers.
The meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, November 13th at 11:30 a.m. in Albany.
