TROY, N.Y. -- Front Street reopens in Troy a day after a water main break closed it to traffic.
The break occurred around 4 p.m. Friday afternoon caused extensive flooding along front street between congress and division streets. The Congress Street Bridge was also closed, but it has since reopened.
On Saturday, crews uncovered the damage section of the water main. they say the impacted area around the main will be cleaned up on Sunday. Crews will begin replacing the damaged section of the pipe on Monday.
Officials said no one should experience any interruption in service or loss of water pressure during the replacement of the damaged pipe.
